The two of you that are still working on this, don't sweat getting it done.
I'm too lazy to even breathe properly right now, so you've got plenty of time.

~~~
End date has been extended again, because, guys this is a lot of work I know xD
Alone in the wilderness, you and your companions must face daring terrain, harsh weather and a slew of dangers. You will have one month to find your way out and, hopefully, come out on top.
You, your horse and your loyal canine companion will begin your journey the wilderness of Kentucky, in a place unused, undeveloped, and uncharted for generations and, god willing, end your journey on the other side of the Highridge Mountains. While you may begin with pack provisions, it's very likely that at some point you will run out of food... and water. Eventually people realize that their tents are just too much, and dump them too. You will have to find your own food, water and shelter.
The first team to make it out, in tact, wins.
Good luck.
Description and What You Will Need
You will be alone, on a team of three. This team will consist of you, your horse and your dog. You must take with you a reasonable amount of provisions and things you believe to be essential to you. (cell phones are not essentials. However, lighters, matches, spare clothes, food, water and shelter is) You will be equipped with a GPS tracker. This so you may be located if you do not return within the month you are alloted. Do not lose this. If you are not back within the alloted 4 weeks, your GPS will be tracked. If you become desperately lost before then, you will be able to send out a Panic Alert Signal, which will be sent to and received by the nearest checkpoint station. You will be tracked and led out. However, you will be disqualified from the contest. You will also be able to receive weather updates through this.
You will be provided with a map of the area before the gun goes off. Do not lose this. The paths are marked by ribbons on trees. You may stray off the paths to find a route better suited for your team, but try to remain close. You may get lost.
Again, do not lose your GPS Tracker or your Map. If you do, you're fucked.
You will be equipped with a medical kit as well.
You will need:
:bulletblack: Portable shelter
:bulletblack: Weather gear for your team
:bulletblack: Sensible food and water
:bulletblack: Essentials such as lighters/matches, containers, a knife, etc.
*Be Aware* there are dangers on this journey other than just the terrain and weather itself. There are also predators such as Black Bears, Cougars, Coyotes, Bobcats, and the occasional Wild Boar. You ARE permitted to bring a gun but please use it wisely.
:new: A training photo is no longer required, because it's aggravating. However, those have done them, or would like to do them, it will help you win as this is effort based as far as activity goes.
Judging
Second Place 50 :points:
Third Place: 25 :points:
I will be participating in this but I will not be eligible to place or win. I just wanna have some fun.
NEED A HORSE?!
Shameless advertising: The Appalachian Walker by Hollow-Heaven A horse built for just this sort of thing ;D But you can use any horse you like.
I know there are other horse related endurance things going on right now as well, and I'm not trying to copy or take away from them at all. I keep having a dream about this sort of thing, so I decided to do something about it.
