All seemed to be well when it came to greeting strangers. Lilah had held still and kept herself polite while Shiya held her conversation and before long it was time for the next test.
This time 'round, Lilah was meant to remain calm and polite during interaction with a stranger. This suited Lilah just fine. She had been waiting for petting all morning.
Shiya asked the hound into a sit then stood back, letting the evaluator step close and interact with the dog. Through all the petting and talking, Lilah remained sitting, leaning her skull into the hand while her tail thumped against the ground. She couldn't be bothered to stand or jump, only shifted a little so that she could be better reached. She was enjoying the attention, drinking it up, and barely made a glance to all the other handlers and dogs passing by.
