Canine Good Citizen Test - Accepting a Friendly Stranger

Shiya was constantly thinking of new ways to prove Lilah. Whether it was hunting, conformation or anything in between, any new way she could come up with to bring Lilah to the top was good. So when she heard about the Canine Good Citizen tests she jumped at the chance.
It seemed the test was to prove that a dog was well mannered and good natured. "Well she'll just ace that, won't she."
Shiya filled out all the necessary paper work and spent a bit of time making sure Lilah was suited for large crowds, which was all she needed really.

When the day came that they were to appear for evaluation, Shiya took time to make sure Lilah looked her best and even bought her a brand new flat collar and leash. Of course it was still pink, and still just a bit too big, but that was alright with the both of them. "Alrighty LiLi, be good as gold." The hound gave a few gentle wags and soon it was time for them.
The first test was entitled 'Accepting a Friendly Stranger' and Shiya was sure Lilah would do well because the dog knew no strangers, be them dogs or people. Everybody was friend. Lilah walked calmly by her master's side then remained still as the stranger approached.
Shiya confidently held a small conversation with the stranger, barely acknowledging Lilah, while the hound spent her time watching the stranger and wagging her tail. Her kind eyes were welcoming and bright and she stood still without jumping or sniffing, but she was obviously disappointed when she received no pats.

Our vicious coonhound going in for her first CGC test :la: We're hoping she makes it through because how neat would that be?
